While I am on leave, please check out for competent midwives in your area!!

Jenessa Payano Stark, CPM is a Certified Professional Midwife in the state of Minnesota providing homebirth midwifery services to pregnant women in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the Twin Cities Metro Area.

Why a midwife?

Birth is a normal physiological process. Midwives are trained to handle normal pregnancy, birth, and postpartum processes and to spot complications as they arise and refer appropriately.

Increasing research and evidence proves that birth with midwives in an out of hospital environment is not only safe, it is recommended for low-risk mothers. Midwifery care is comprehensive and offers continuity of care. The midwife will see you at every visit and be present at your birth. There is no guessing about who your provider might be and Jenessa personally knows every client's situation and obstetrical history.

Each visit lasts on average one hour. During this time you are provided with clinical care as well as information and counseling about the emotional and psychological changes in pregnancy. Jenessa takes a wholistic approach to the process of motherhood integrating all aspects of your well-being into her care. She is thrilled to work with all types of families, especially those who may be disrespected in the traditional medical model.
